When Inner Work Keeps Us in the Wrong Relationship
There is a subtle risk in recognizing that indifference can be felt within us.
We may believe that if we work on ourselves enough,
the relationship will eventually change.
Sometimes it does.
But sometimes inner work becomes the reason we stay where presence is no longer mutual.
Presence does not require endurance.
It does not ask us to override what the body already knows.
Inner work is meant to bring clarity —
not to justify staying in spaces where contact has already ended.
Discernment is not abandonment.
It is respect for what is true now.
