Δεν Βγαίνω Μάνα Μου Σου Λέω began with a very human and slightly absurd observation: sometimes it does not really matter what happens — we can always find something to complain about.
If there is work, it is exhausting. If there is no work, how are we going to get paid? If there are people around, they are too much. If we are alone, that becomes a problem too. Even a cup of coffee manages to go from being too hot to being disappointingly cold.
The song turns this pattern into a deliberately melodramatic character who experiences every small inconvenience as though life has personally decided to test him. Around him, a calm mother and an enthusiastic commentator make the drama increasingly ridiculous.
For one brief moment, even he forgets himself. There is sea, coffee, good company and a beautiful summer — and life suddenly seems perfectly fine.
Until he remembers.
He was complaining.
